This article/section deals with mathematical concepts appropriate for a student in mid to late high school.


In mathematics an irrational number is any real number that cannot be expressed as the ratio of two integers (e.g. x/y). The student will recall, if they try, and paid attention, to the RationalWiki slogan, "the Wiki that can be expressed as the ratio between two IntegerWikis". Irrational numbers in decimal formation never repeat their digit sequences. Smart people have proved this with complicated maths.
