Dmitry Medvedev

Dmitry Medvedev is a sockpuppet of Vladimir Putin, and is Russia's current dictator President. Prior to his election in 2008, he had never held an elected position, until he was selected as Putin's heir successor, due to the latter's constitutional inability to run for the office of President for a third time. Putin remains in the political picture, as Russia's Prime Minister, and is still prominent on the world stage.
Like his predecessor, Medvedev has strong ties with Gazprom (the largest company in Russia, and third largest by market capitalization in the world), having been the oil giant's Chairman of the board of directors twice.
