Conservapedia:Popularity

From RationalWiki

Conservapedia loves to promote itself as a popular site. If it's not Andrew Schlafly bragging that it'll be bigger than Wikipedia, it's Ken Demeyer anticipating high placings in the google rankings. But what about people who just want to find an encyclopedia? Google encyclopedia and this is what we find:[1]

Contents

[edit] Google page one

  • Encycolpedia.com gets first place.
  • Wikipedia is second.
  • Britannica takes bronze.
  • Encarta is on page one in its final year of operation.
  • Infoplease covers topics from "astrophysics to Zimbabwe", so don't go there for Astronomy or Zoology.
  • Now the specialist encyclopedias: MedlinePlus (medical) and the Catholic Encyclopedia. Conservapedia does not show.

[edit] Page two

Specialist encyclopedias on computers, mathematics, mythology and philosophy. But no Conservapedia.

[edit] Pages three to ten

More specialist encyclopedias: African music, anime, the atmosphere, botany, Robert Burns, Canada, Chicago, Christianity, cyperlaw (why did I just think of Yul Brynner in Westworld?) economics, exoplanets, fish, Georgia, heart and stroke health, heavy metal, the Holocaust, improvised games, Judaism, malware, Marxism, medieval linguistics, New Zealand, North Carolina, performing arts, philosophy, psychology, the revolutions of 1848, Shi'a Islam, space travel, television, the Titanic, Tolkien and transport. Still no Conservapedia.

[edit] Even further

Come on, where is it? we can't go on past encyclopedias of Canadian theatre, or organ stops, for ever. Where is Conservapedia?
