This has been saved from CP. Compare the acceptable article Saline abortion.

Although the article had sources, does anyone know how much truth there is in the possibility of Parsley abortion and how it really works (if it does at all)?

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme are apparently all useful in birth control, hence the refrain for Scarborough Fair, which acts and a mnemonic for those herbs, so it's possible.

Parsley abortion is a method of terminating a pregnancy by rubbing the belly with parsley oil or inserting parsley into the vagina. This kills the body of the unborn child (see fetus) gradually. Among those that believe that life begins at conception, it is not hard to see that an action that poisons a human with slow-death producing parsley is horrifically cruel and inhumane.
