[edit] Made up stuff[1]
[edit] Example One
Anne was a liberal normal person who met a conservative named Ralph. They fell in love and married.
However, after six months, Ralph changed his mind without explanation. Also, due to his commitment to his church, it took him four grueling years to actually file for a divorce. The worst four years of her life, which she could have spent with someone who loved her instead, had she realized the drawbacks of marrying a conservative.
[edit] Example Two
Suzy was attractive and promiscuous woman, who fell in love with Joe, a conservative, who was impressed - nay, amazed, by the fact that she, a woman, could succeed at a graduate school. She decided to change her lifestyle and get married to Joe.
For some reason, they could never get a child. For the next 25 years, Joe blamed her previously active sex life for this, and insisted she carried an STD that made her infertile.
[edit] Example Three
Bob married a conservative woman, and stood out with her for 30 long years, until he finally had had enough. Bob divorced her and remarried, this time to a normal person whom he did not even realize existed. For the rest of his life Bob marveled at how different -- and better -- his life was.
[edit] Example Four
Elizabeth was an otherwise smart person who thought she would be better off marrying a conservative than a normal person. She found Stan, a conservative workaholic who didn't have any friends.
For the next thirty years Stan kept embarrassing her in front of her friends, insisting on rambling on and on about how gays and atheists are destroying the world. After she had given Stan the best 30 years of her life, she passed away, and Stan remarried another woman and they lived happily ever after in their fantasy world.
[edit] Example Five
Bill was a bisexual man who fell in love with Kate. He had a hard time convincing her to marry him, since her parents were conservative, and therefore could not tolerate anyone who disagreed with them.
Although he loved Kate, Bill kept having homosexual affairs, and eventually got infected with HIV, which he eventually also infected Kate with.
As if their lives weren't ruined enough, Kate's crazy conservative friend Andrew Schlafly used their story to spread political propaganda on his batshit-insane blog.
