On June 6, 2007, Conservapedia noticed the Boston Globe's hatchet job of two days earlier. The "breaking news" section on the right side of Conservapedia's main page had this item:

Boston Globe trumpets Conservapedia's success. (the article -- free registration required)
Ted Kennedy's hometown paper demonstrates CP's objectivity with a review of Pat Robertson.

Uhhh ... Excuse me? Review of Pat Robertson? Review of Conservapedia's page on Pat Robertson? The article, by Alex Beam, does say

"[Conservapedia's] entries read like they were personally vetted by Pat Robertson and the 700 Club."

Other than that, it says nothing about Mr. Robertson. Mr. Beam simply used that little swipe as a hyperbole about how outrageously stupid CP is.

And Mr. Beam really does a total hatchet job. He says "And you can trust them, to give you some pretty loopy definitions." Then he goes into the usual paragraph (well, 3 paragraphs; he really likes this stuff) about everyone's favorite loopy CP page—the stuff about kangaroos and Noah's ark. He concludes the article by pointing out that CP calls Ann Coulter's books "incoherent" and her speaking style "abrasive", and then says "Even the broken clock of conservative nuttery tells the correct time now and then."

But the powers that be at CP just love it!
