Amen

Amen, translating roughly as "Let it be" or "So be it", is used in the Bible to affirm a previous statement. Its etymology stems from the Hebrew verb aman, or "to strengthen". A modern example would be "So say we all." from Battlestar Galactica.

Amen is also the title of a late 1980's television sitcom starring Sherman Hemsley as Deacon Frye.
