Affirmative action vice president

The selection of Sarah Palin as John McCain's running mate in the 2008 U.S. presidential election cannot (by definition) lead to the first affirmative action vice president because the Republican Party does not support affirmative action.

Besides, who cares about the vice presidency when Bill Clinton was already the first affirmative action president, because the Democratic Party does support affirmative action, and Clinton was the first black president—Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX) said so[1].
